In the Australian state of New South Wales, there is a coastal community called Whale Beach, located in northern Sydney. Forty kilometres north of Sydney’s CBD, in the Northern Beaches Council area, is where you’ll find Whale Beach.
Popular with surfers, “The Wedge” may be found near the northern end of the beach, right where the cliffs begin. Just to the west of Whale Beach is the Surf Life Saving Club.
A mansion created by architect Alexander Stewart Jolly may be found in Whale Beach. Careel House is a bungalow built from sandstone blocks quarried on the property, and it sits atop Careel Head with a view of Whale Beach. It was built in 1931 but has historic status today.
Those who participate in The Big Swim, a multikilometer ocean swim from Palm Beach to Whale Beach, finish at that beach. Once a year in January since 1974, The Big Swim has been a long-standing tradition.
