Waterfall is a teeny-tiny neighbourhood located in the southern part of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The central business district of Sydney is located 38 kilometres to the south of the Sutherland Shire.

To the north of Waterfall is the suburb of Heathcote, and further to the north is the town of Engadine. To the east of Waterfall is The Royal National Park, and to the west of Waterfall is Heathcote National Park. When travelling south, Helensburgh is the next town on the route. The Sutherland Shire’s southern boundary is denoted by a waterfall. Approximately 200 metres above mean sea level can be found here.

Only six different streets can be found in Waterfall. Because the local school only has two classrooms, students in kindergarten through second grade are housed in one room, while students in third through sixth grade are educated in the other. The surrounding national parks are easily accessible via foot via the network of walking pathways that run through the wilderness that surrounds the little suburb. Mount Westmacott can be found to the west of the artificial lake created by the dam.
