In addition, the Frank Beckman Reserve on Yulong Road features a parking lot adjacent to the Terrey Hills Rural Fire Station. The volunteer brigade is the primary fire department for the community, with a Hino Category 11 village pumper, an Izuzu Category 1 44 bush fire tanker, fire engines, and a Toyota Hilux support vehicle to put out both wildfires and fires in buildings and vehicles.
Manly-Warringah Media Co-operative and Radio Northern Beaches are now broadcasting from their new studios in Terrey Hills, having relocated there from Belrose in 2013.
Since a Forest Coach Lines station is located there, getting to and from Terrey Hills is a breeze. There are buses running to the Sydney Olympic Park special event from Chatswood (283 / 284), Gordon (196), Macquarie Park (197), North Sydney (260), and Mona Vale (196 /197). Train stations are accessible through bus routes from Chatswood and Gordon.
To the east and west, the Northern Beaches are connected to places like Chatswood, Hornsby, and North Ryde by Mona Vale Road, which also serves to connect Terrey Hills to the rest of the Northern Beaches
