A metropolitan area called South Western Sydney is located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia’s southwest. It is a part of the Greater Western Sydney region, which is primarily working-class. The area is a part of the Cumberland Plain.
There are numerous distinct regional borders. The areas around Liverpool, Canterbury-Bankstown, and Campbelltown are occasionally included. More recently, the Macarthur region has been added (the local government areas of Camden Council and Wollondilly Shire). It might also include the entire area between the outer and inner south-west suburbs of Campbelltown and Camden and Canterbury and Bankstown.
In a broader sense, the local government districts of Canterbury-Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, and Wollondilly make up South-Western Sydney.
