North Willoughby is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, on the Lower North Shore. It is in the state of New South Wales, nine kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, and it is in the City of Willoughby’s local government area. Willoughby and Willoughby East are two different places to live.
On Penshurst Street, there are a few shops and restaurants, as well as the well-known Willoughby Hotel. When it first opened in 1899, the hotel was called “one of the best buildings in the northern suburbs.” It was almost destroyed in 1940, but it was saved and got a major makeover in 1988.
Rosewall, a two-story Georgian-style house made of sandstone, is another important building. It was built in the 1880s for the Forsyths, who ran tanneries in the area. Rosewall Street and Forsyth Street are named for the house and the people who lived there.
There are many different kinds of shops in High Street’s High Street Markets, such as Harris Farm Markets, cafes, places to get food to go, and restaurants.
