Mount Druitt is a Sydney suburb within the New South Wales region of Australia. The local government area of the City of Blacktown is located 38 kilometres (24 miles) west of the Sydney central business district and is part of Greater Western Sydney.
Close by are the smaller communities of Bidwill, Blackett, Dharruk, Emerton, Hebersham, Lethbridge Park, Minchinbury, Whalan, Shalvey, Tregear, and Willmot.

The complex contains over 200 stores, ranging from inexpensive department stores to specialist shops. Shopsmart is another shopping centre in the neighbourhood. The train station is within walking distance of a hospital, coffee shops, small taverns, a municipal swimming pool, and a library, among other services.

A substantial amount of the Housing Commission has been sold to developers, and the neighbourhood is currently being redeveloped with mixed-use structures. Mount Druitt station is on the North Shore, Northern & Western Line of the Sydney Trains system. There is a continuous express service that travels between Sydney and Parramatta in 55 minutes. The government’s North South Line will connect the future Western Sydney Airport and Mount Druitt, as well as providing access to the South West.
The Council is initiating a feasibility study to see whether it is possible to construct new light rail connecting Mount Druitt to the other Blacktown Shire communities.
