Medlow Bath Taxi Maxi, Medlow Bath is a small village in Australia. It is between Katoomba and Blackheath, near the highest point of the Blue Mountains, and has the postcode 2780. It is about 115 kilometres west-northwest of Sydney’s central business district and 5 kilometres north-west of Katoomba. It is about 1050 metres above sea level. As of the 2016 census, there were 611 people living in Medlow Bath.
In 1880, when the station was called Brown’s Siding, the Main Western railway line was connected to Medlow Bath. The station at Medlow Bath is now served by the Blue Mountains Line.
The Great Western Highway is the main road to get there.
Katoomba Airfield is also a few kilometres east of Medlow Bath.
Medlow Bath is in a semi-rural area with a fire-prone eucalypt forest, and bushfires have threatened it many times in the past.
Mark Foy, a businessman from Sydney, built the Hydro Majestic Hotel in the early 20th century. The hotel was the main source of income for the area until the summer of 2003.

A complex network of walking trails has been set up in the bushland between the hotel and the Megalong Valley escarpment. In recent years, the tracks have gotten worse because they haven’t been taken care of, even though they are great for bushwalks and offer views of the Megalong Valley. Bruce’s Walk is an old trail in the area that bushwalkers and other volunteers worked to improve in the 1980s. Bruce’s Walk is a few kilometres east of Medlow Bath, on the outskirts of the Blue Mountains National Park, which is now a World Heritage site.
Edmund Barton died in the Hydro Majestic Hotel in 1920. He was Australia’s first prime minister.
