Kings Langley is a suburb of Sydney. It is in the territory of New South Wales, which is in Australia. In a straight line, Kings Langley is 28.3 km north-west of the central business district of Sydney. Kings Langley is a part of both the Hills District and the Greater Western Sydney area. The real estate website Homely gave it a score of 9.4 out of 10, which made it Sydney’s 14th best suburb (Greater).
Matthew Pearce, a pioneer immigrant who lived from 1762 to 1831, named his 160-acre (65-hectare) grant after the Kings Langley Manor House in Hertfordshire, England, where he was likely born. Pearce’s grant was on the other side of Old Windsor Road from what is now the Kings Langley neighbourhood. In the 1970s, the name was used for a housing project. In 1976, it was called a “neighbourhood,” and in 1987, it was called a “suburb.”
Kings Langley has easy access to public transportation, such as Hillsbus routes T61 and 706. Busways lines 743 and 718 serve the neighbourhood and connect it to the bigger areas of Blacktown, Castle Hill, Seven Hills, and Parramatta.
The Banks and Trobadour stations on the North-West T-Joseph way connect to North Sydney (602), the Sydney CBD (607X, 617X), Macquarie Park (740), Rouse Hill (T63, T64, T65, T66), and Parramatta (T60-T66). The Cook station on the Blacktown-Parklea T-James way connects to Blacktown (T70-T75), Castle Hill (T70), and Parram (T74).
During non-rush hours, the M2 Hills Motorway can be used to get to the Sydney CBD in 30 minutes. In December 2005, the Westlink M7 opened, making it easier to get to Western Sydney.
There are a lot of public schools in Kings Langley. There are two elementary schools in the area: Vardys Road Primary School, which opened in 1959[4,] and Kings Langley Public School, which opened in 1981, both on Vardys Road. Kings Langley doesn’t have a high school, but Blacktown Boys High School, Blacktown Girls High School, and Seven Hills High School all serve the neighbourhood. Parents in Kings Langley often send their kids to high school at Crestwood High School or Model Farms High School, both of which are in the nearby town of Baulkham Hills.
