This location is between Railway Terrace, Bursill Street, Marian Street, and the Guildford Overbridge. This facility is home to the local Bowling Club, athletic fields, and a rental hall. The primary oval is utilised by local soccer, football, and cricket clubs.
Pioneer Reserve Campbell Hill
Campbell Hill Road is the only principal entry. At the end of Dudley Road, there is access for local foot traffic. The 19-hectare park contains barbeque areas with shelters, restrooms, a small wetland, a basketball court, and sculptures. A portion of the park is forested.
This park, named for John Thomas Campbell (1770-1830), is a piece of his original 1,000-acre 1823 Land Grant. Between 1810 and 1820, he served as Secretary to Governor Macquarie, and between 1812 and 1822, he served as Provost Marshal. He was the board’s first president and a founder of the Bank of New South Wales (1816-1817).
Municipal Golf Course in Woodville
Obtainable only via Rawson Road. Woodville Road, the Water Supply Pipeline, and Barbers Road define its perimeter. Also included in John Thomas Campbell’s 1,000-acre property grant was an 18-hole golf course.
