Fox Valley Road existed at Wahroonga, on the Upper North Shore of Sydney, around the year 1900. Wahroonga is a suburb located on Sydney’s Upper North Shore in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is located 18 kilometres north-west of Sydney’s central business district and is governed by the Ku-ring-gai Council and the Hornsby Shire. North Wahroonga, an unique neighbouring neighbourhood with the same postcode, is located close.
It is thought that early occupants of the valley witnessed flying foxes when it was part of the Foxground Estate. These observations led to the current name of the road in the valley, Fox Valley Road.
