Emerton is a residential area in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is 46 kilometres from Sydney’s central business district and is in Blacktown, which is a local government area in the Greater Western Sydney region. The only business in the area happens at the town’s recreation centre.

It is near the suburbs of New South Wales, Mount Druitt, and St. Marys. Popondetta Road, which goes around Popondetta Park and goes north, marks the edge of the suburb. To the west, the boundary goes through Halmahera Creek until it meets Popondetta Road and Luxford Road.

The southern and eastern edges of the suburb are made up of Popondetta Road, which goes north around Popondetta Park. To the west, the boundary follows Luxford Road south until it meets Popondetta Road. It then follows Halmahera Creek until it meets up with Popondetta Road.

William Frederick Emert, who was born in Siglingen, Germany, and moved to Australia in 1853, named the town where he lived. It is now called Emerton. In 1861, he moved to Mount Druitt to be the postmaster and storekeeper. Emert was also very important in putting together the Wesleyan Church in Australia.

Emerton is near the Westlink M7 highway, which makes it easy to get to the Great Western Highway and the M4 highway, giving people in the east of the city access to the western parts of the city and the Sydney CBD. This neighbourhood is connected to the Mount Druitt and St. Marys train stations by a number of private bus lines.

Emerton has bike lanes that go from Popondetta Park to Mt. Druitt and the M7 cycleway, which connects to the bike lanes on the M4 and M2 Motorways.
Blacktown City Council did a lot of work on the Emerton Leisure Center, which used to be Emerton Pool. It reopened in August 2006. In 2017, the centre became known as the Charlie Lowles Leisure Center. The recreation centre has both an indoor and an outdoor pool, one of which is a hydrotherapy pool. Additionally, there is an outdoor beach volleyball court.

Popondetta Park is close by and goes from Jersey Road to Bougainville Road between Popondetta Road and Halmahera Creek. Large fields for soccer, rugby league, netball, and cricket are in this park.
