The suburb of Dharruk is in the city of Sydney, which is in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is in the City of Blacktown, which is 46 kilometres west of the Sydney Central Business District. It is a component of Greater Western Sydney.

Most of the people in Dharruk live there, and there aren’t many businesses or factories there. The only other major thing going on in the area is education. The Dawson Public School and the Mount Druitt campus of Chifley College take up most of the area. Dharruk is bounded by Carlisle Avenue on the east, Popondetta Road on the west, Jersey Road on the north, and Woodstock Avenue on the south.

The word “Dharruk” comes from the name of the Darug people, who are an Aboriginal group from the area west of Sydney.
