Davidson Taxi Maxi, In the Australian state of New South Wales, Davidson is located in the northern portion of the city of Sydney. Located twenty kilometres north-east of Sydney’s central business area and under the administration of the Northern Beaches Council lies the suburban hamlet of Davidson. Davidson is situated in what is formally known as the Forest District but is more frequently known as The Forest. This neighbourhood is located in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It is noted for being the smallest suburb of the Northern beaches, as well as for its seclusion and tranquilly. It is mostly known as a residential area with magnificent parks, bush walks, and city vistas.

Davidson is located on the eastern edge of Garigal National Park and has a boundary with Belrose and Frenchs Forest. Davidson is located approximately 15 kilometres from Sydney’s central business centre.
Davidson is part of the geographical region known as the “Forest,” which also contains Belrose, Auslink, Frenchs Forest, Forestville, Killarney Heights, Terrey Hills, and Duffys Forest. Davidson is situated in the southeast corner of the “Forest” region. The Forest is a constituent area of the Northern Beaches Council, whose jurisdiction encompasses the majority of the Northern Beaches neighbourhood in Sydney.
Sir Walter Davidson, governor of New South Wales from 18 February 1918 to 4 September 1923, inspired the name Davidson. In 1923, a park was created at this area in his honour, and the ensuing neighbourhood development borrowed the park’s name. Prior to the late 1970s, Davidson was mostly utilised as a quarry for mining. [source: citation insufficient] As a result of the close proximity of the Garigal National Park bushfires to the neighbourhood in January 1994, the neighbourhood was in great danger. The Warringah/Pittwater Rural Fire Service crews extinguished these flames, preventing them from entering the Davidson Valley System.
Forest Coach Lines is the sole provider of public transportation in Davidson, as it manages the city’s buses. To reach Manly, residents can board any bus that goes to Forestway, where they can switch to a Manly-bound bus. The bus routes go regularly across the neighbourhood, including direct routes to the City and Chatswood.
