Cromer Taxi Maxi, Cromer is a suburb of northern Sydney in the Australian state of New South Wales. Cromer derives its name from a beach resort in Norfolk, England. Formerly known as Dee Why West, the region’s name that was altered named in 1940 when Cromer Country Club bought Dee Why Golf Links. The club submitted a petition to rename the area which is Cromer, and permission was given to form a new suburb.
The Cromer Post Office was established on September 1, 1959, and it ceased operations in 1992.
Cromer features a number of parks and reserves, such as Cromer Park, Truman Reserve, Wambiri Place Reserve, St Matthews Farm Reserve, Dee Why West Recreation Reserve, James Morgan Reserve, and Inman Park. Throughout the year, the parks feature numerous sporting events, including soccer, rugby union, touch football, baseball, softball, and cricket.
Next to Cromer High School, the Warringah archers are an established archery club that hosts competitions for archers from all around Sydney.
