Camperdown is a Sydney suburb in the inner west of the Australian state of New South Wales. Camperdown, a section of Sydney’s Inner West, is located about 4 kilometers southwest of the city center. Between the local government regions of the Inner West Council and the City of Sydney is Camperdown.

The crowded neighborhood of Camperdown is home to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the University of Sydney, and the historic Camperdown Cemetery. Before being relocated to Westmead Hospital in Sydney’s west, the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children had once called that place home. On the grounds of the hospital, apartment structures now stand.
