Blaxland Taxi Maxi. Blaxland is a community located in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. Blaxland is located in Blue Mountains City, 70 kilometres west of Sydney. Warrimoo is located 234 metres above sea level and is surrounded by the towns of Glenbrook and Mount Riverview.

Gregory Blaxland, William Lawson, and William Wentworth led an expedition through the Blue Mountains in 1813. In honour of this trip, Blaxland was named after Blaxland. Prior to the year 1879, this area was known as Wascoe.
Around 1825, the Pilgrim Inn first opened its doors to guests. It played an important role in the neighbourhood for a time, but ultimately it disappeared. Located adjacent to a McDonald’s, the relics have been designated historical sites.
In the early 20th century, the Reverend Joshua Hargrave established himself as a prominent member of the community, playing a major role in the growth of Blaxland and South Blaxland. Together with his family and the Calver family, he was responsible for the construction of the neighborhood’s first church and the preservation of four historic homes: the Tanfield on Hope Street, the Menahne on Hope Street, the Rosedale on View Street, and the Nardi on View Street. Each residence has been designated a historical site.
The Blaxland train station is located on the Blue Mountains Line of the intercity rail network New South Wales TrainLink. The station is accessible for persons with mobility limitations.
Since 2001, when the Great Western Highway was extended, Blaxland has witnessed considerable change. This project included the controversial planting of Canary Island Palm trees along the roadway, as well as the construction of new stores and the refurbishment of others. These changes and the upgrade to Blaxland Station have been beneficial to the local economy.
A minor industrial development and the last Blue Mountains landfill are located near Blaxland.
