Berala Taxi Maxi, Berala is a western Sydney suburb in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is located 20 kilometres west of the core business centre and is governed by Cumberland Council, the local government body for that area.
The origin of the name Berala is the Aboriginal word “bareela,” which refers to a muskrat. This area was once a marsh that attracted a variety of wild birds. Torrington, Sidmouth, and Bareela were among the locations that were discussed during the extension of the railway line from Lidcombe to Regents Park. The station first opened its doors in 1912, while the public school and post office followed suit in 1924 and 1927, respectively.
The Berala railway station is one of the stops on the Bankstown Line of the Sydney Trains network. There is regular bus service between Auburn and Bankstown.

There is a charming mix of shops near the train station, including a Charcoal Chicken, a newsstand, and the EVT bakery. A Woolworths may be found just close to the train station.

Coleman Park contains two full-size soccer fields, two smaller soccer fields, a baseball field, a playground for children, and basketball facilities. There you will locate the Lidcombe Waratahs soccer team’s headquarters.
The Berala Bears are a junior rugby league team that competes in the Canterbury-Bankstown District Junior Rugby League’s division. Guilfoyle Park is located in the adjacent neighbourhood of Regents Park. Their home stadium has the name “home” and their colours are gold and black. Former Berala Bears players include Terry Matterson of the Brisbane Broncos, Daniel Tupou of the Sydney Roosters, Matt Utai of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Wests Tigers, Jeremy Smith of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Anthony Watmough of the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, Apisai Koroisau of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, and Sam.
