Belrose Taxi Maxi, Belrose is a Sydney suburb located 19 kilometres north-east of the Sydney central business district in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is a component of the Northern Beaches Council’s local government jurisdiction. In addition, Belrose is one of the constituent regions of the Forest District, which is sometimes referred to informally as “The Forest.”
On September 4, 1923, the Belrose Post Office initially opened its doors, and it remained operational until 1986. The Belrose West Post Office first opened its doors on July 1, 1969.
It is believed that the name “Belrose” was derived by combining the names of two local plants: the Christmas Bell and the bush rose. Christmas Bell was the most widespread plant.
Belrose is primarily a residential area, although it also has the Austlink Business Park and two shopping centres: the Glenrose Village Shopping Centre (formerly known as Stockland Glenrose) and the Belrose Village Shopping Centre. In addition, the Glen Street Theatre and the Belrose Library are located in Belrose.
In addition, there is a Homemakers Supacenta with over 35 stores, including well-known merchants such as Harvey Norman, Nick Scali Furniture, and JB Hi-Fi.
The facility that operates the five satellites currently in orbit for Optus is located in Belrose, the same site as the satellite communications facility for Optus.
There are two national parks on the northern border: Garigal National Park and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
On the edge of Frenchs Forest are the Frenchs Forest Showground and the Lionel Watts Oval, both of which are located in Belrose. The Lionel Watts Oval is a children’s sports field.
The BTH Raiders are the local soccer team, and their region covers both Belrose and Terrey Hills. Wyatt Oval is the primary oval used by BTH, but Terrey Hills ovals are also utilised. The neighbourhood club has approximately 900 members, and their over-35 division is one of the most active in the region.
There are at least two tennis court sets in the Belrose region. These include the tennis courts in Wyatt Reserve and the courts at Belrose Tennis Club[6].
Additionally, the Belrose Bowling club is located in Belrose.
The Manly-Warringah Radio Society, better known as VK2MB, serves the Belrose neighbourhood as the local club for amateur radio operators. Its club rooms are located in the adjacent neighbourhood of Terrey Hills.
